The 2014 Salem Wine Co. Rose is sourced entirely from the Eola Spring Vineyard, a dry farmed site in Oregon's Eola Amity Hills. Like Seven Springs, Eola Springs Vineyard is a historically significant site, first planted in 1972. Like Seven Springs, the vineyard sits above the Missoula flood plain's vigorous sedimentary soils and shares the well known volcanic jory soils of the estate vineyard. The Salem Wine Co. wines are crafted to be approachable and authentic, consumed in their youth, with very little sulfur and no new cooperage employed. The 2014 Rose of Pinot Noir is a rose of intent nitiated with gentle, whole cluster pressing, the juice is racked to fully neutral French oak barrels for a brief 7 month elevage.

There is a lot going on in this amazing rose'! Pronounced nose intensity of floral, stone fruit, white peaches, nectarine, crushed rock and red plums. The palate has a bright refreshing acidity and a long finish. Awesome!
