Achor Brewery, America's very First Craft beer Company, 1975, San Francisco CA, my very first craft beer way back in 1978, was always a big fan and never missed a beer release from this landmark brewery, all they do is good to excellent, a few years ago they put out their IPA, like that one, not excellent, but very good, getting to this one, just came out about 2 months ago, it is like stated, a west coast style IPA, so you get all the familiar hop notes, grapefruit, pine, Citrus, some tropical notes, mango, peach, grassy notes as well, it is very textbook in the style, but here lies the problem, for all you beer geeks, me included, we have had this beer many times from countless breweries, does nothing different or unique, I think if they would have leaned more to the fruity and tropical side, like most craft beer breweries are and having been doing for the last 3 years, this just seems to a throwback of IPA's on the past, yes some of those are classics and will always remand and look back on the important mark they made and paved the way for all the new beers that are and have been coming out, just surprised this great brewery went backwards instead of forward, still a very well done Quality crafted beer, would expect anything less from Anchor, just disappointed, the best way to describing in short, Take the classic Stone IPA, which out August 16th 1997, have that when it is about 2-3 months old from bottled on date, and this beer will be very similar in taste and hop profile

IPA américaine assez légère, 6.7. Une belle couleur dorée et des arômes complexes d'agrumes. Bière intéressante

Not bad for a IPA. Hoppy but not overbearing

Pretty bitter, a real IPA although it's well balanced and not too much.
