Veyder-Malberg Schöner Riesling 2014

$63

Peter did not make any single vineyard rieslings from the 2014 vintage due to hail and other environmental issues so this riesling is a harmonious wine without a de-acidification process or any kind of induced improvement - He vinified from all of my Riesling vineyards a naturally sweet, juicy and balanced Riesling with a long ageing potential. The 2014 vintage was, in retrospect, a stroke of luck - with a Riesling that is atypical not only for the region, but for all of Austria.

Per Peter, his goal was to produce a "Mosel-style" Riesling. Mission accomplished!

Apparently he’s crazy in his non-adherence to convention. Good not great. Haven’t had the V-M epiphany yet
