Recently released, the 2020 Hayne Petite Syrah shows the impact of a tough year of drought and heat on what is almost always an excellent to extraordinary wine. It’s a beautiful, bright edged purple with a subtle nose of blackberry, cream and graphite. But on the palate it’s thin and tannic — time will tell but it may not have the fruit match up to the best Hayne PS’s.

11/2022. Nice big red. Full of flavor and very nice on the palate. Even better in a few years. Paired well with the short ribs at Mr. Friendly’s.
