Tenuta Il Poggione Brunello di Montalcino is matured for 3 years in French oak barrels. After being aged in wood, the wine is bottle aged for a time, an essential process in guaranteeing the pleasing quality and complex attributes that have made this wine world-famous. The Brunello is ruby red in color tending to garnet, very intense with persistent nose of red fruit notes. It exhibits a warm, balanced flavor with velvet-smooth tannins and a long-lasting aroma.

So balanced and complex. Nose shows tobacco leaf, moist loamy gravel, macerated ripe cherry, incense. Concentrated and mouthfilling, but it’s very soft and showing lots of secondary and some tertiary flavors. Such richness. Wow. Thanks to my brother for popping this!
