SLOAN ESTATE is perched atop the eastern hills of the Rutherford appellation of the Napa Valley. Planted in 1997 to just over 13 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot, the exceptional vineyard sits on mineral-rich, well-drained soils of sandy loam and fractured volcanic ash at elevations ranging from 875 to 990 feet. The terroir of the hillside vineyard consistently allows the grapes to attain optimal physiological ripeness and produce exquisite wines characterized by extraordinary intensity, remarkable purity, fruit finesse, and minerality

Have drank several vintages over the past year to include a few vertical. By far the most approachable.

Part 1 of the final and main event for the Fall WNH. The most spectacular lineup of wines I’ve ever seen, and an overall wonderful ending to an amazing trip with fantastic people. Wow. This was flat out spectacular! Opulent and silky. Harmonious medley of red, blue and black fruit on the nose. Open for business. Fig, nutmeg topped mocha, baked blue and black fruit pie on the palate with a beautiful finish. Dusty. A standout bottle from @David L !

Very nice , a perfect balance, power and elegance. Very young (2012) but will age perfectly. Great wine.
