Has the gamey nose of goat emmentaler cheese soaked in cherries. Young and ageable. Purchase to cellar if you enjoy the name. Classically oaked California Cab.

Tasted at the new Geyserville tasting room. What a beautiful setting. The new silver oaks are really terrific wines. I particularly liked this 2014 Alexander valley. It was so true to its Cabernet roots and should glide effortlessly in the cellar for many many years

Cherry pie. Not super tannic. Nicely balanced.

Deck dinner with friends; had already fined on grilled chicken which paired nicely with a Chard, then the hostess brought this bottle out to go with German chocolate cake for dessert. Excellent choice; oaky yet full-bodied; ready to drink. We probably would’ve given it a higher rating had the hostess not chilled it!

Delightful wine, we paired it with one of the best restaurant burgers in town and it was perfect!

2014 Sonoma Co. Cabernet. Agree "as expected" but perhaps a bit more respect due. Excellent balance, big fruit, smooth silky palate, long finish. Great with red meat. Pricey, though for not quite top tier full bodied...
