Paolo Scavino Carobric Barolo Nebbiolo 2006
The Carobric offers loads of plum, flowers and herbs onthe nose. Full-bodied, with chewy tannins and a long, long finish. Very rich and layered. Fabulous. The selection of grapes rom Scavino's 3 cru vineyards, Rocche di Castiglione, Cannubi and Bric del Fiasc provide a balance and complexity to this wine.

Power/finesse balance with fresh red berries & light spice accented with hints of smoke. Aromatically, this takes a bit to come around, but similar notes emerge with some air. This is augmented by a grippy tannic backbone. Very nice.
