Produced from 100% Nebbiolo (Chiavennasca) grapes picked by hand in the zones of Valtellina and Valtellina Superiore. The grapes, left to dry for 3 months, are vinified on their skins with long maceration. After a short stay in steel, the new wine ages partly in 32- and 57 hectolitre French casks for about 22 months.
