The magnificent story of Marthas Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon began in 1965 and continues unfolding today. The historic handshake deal between the Heitz family and the May family, who own Martha?s Vineyard, made Cabernet Sauvignon history! The cherished relationship between the families now spans three generations.

Full bright ruby. Sexy if somewhat funky aromas of cassis, black cherry, leather, mint and eucalyptus, lifted by a note of black pepper. Deep and vinous, with its dark berry and mint flavors joined by slightly rustic pepper and leather notes. More savory than sweet; not squeaky-clean but has the energy to support slow evolution in bottle. Finishes with rather suave tannins that turn a bit dusty with air, perhaps due to the wine's savory herbal element. (Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, July 2019)

Drinking great. Notes of cassis with subtle eucalyptus. Much less eucalyptus than in earlier vintages. Smooth and silky tannins. I think this wine will provide the most drinking pleasure if consumed within the next 5 years.
