Holy smokes this is good. Backbone aplenty and intense acidity define this beauty. Red fruit and licorice about. It tastes like a baby still. Indeed, in the coming years I'm sure it'll become much more giving. I've been using my Coravin on the 2013 Felsina Rancia for around a month. Consistent impressions so far.

Nose has ripe plum, ripe blackberry, black currant, mashed black cherry, crunchy dry leaves, moist soil and mild cedar notes. Palate has tart plum, blackberries from a heavily rainy grow season (not concentrated), dried cranberry, dried cherry, leather, touch of cocoa powder and (light) anise/licorice. Tannins are still making themselves known, but not obtrusive. Young bottle, future bottles may be 2021-23 in hopes of more palate concentration. A lovely producer whose entire lineup is worthy of your attention. A solid wine for the vintage, embrace and be happy. (Likely better scoring at an 8th or 10th year birthday.)

This was fine. Although a bit too closed up to understand it properly. A bit bigger than what I’ve been drinking lately. Not a bad thing. Just maybe not my thing.

Deeply impressed today by the utterly classic 2013 Felsina Rancia - Earth-driven dark red fruits, dried flowers, leather and dusty spices greeted me on the nose, followed by an intense yet structured palate. There's so much depth here that's likely to take decades to unfurl. I can only image how much fun it's going to be to follow this wine. I'll be hiding a case in the cellar for the long haul.

Very drinkable. Smooth and quite well balanced Reasonable length and juicy on the palate

Still a baby but starting to enter it’s prime. Wonderful nose and intense taste. Very very promising!

Layers of savory fruit and earth. Still needed a good decant though

A little bit more mature notes than last time. Ripe cherry, liqourice and almost balmasic. Very nice! I want to see where this is going with more cellar time.
