Drappier Zero Dosage Rosé Brut Nature Pinot Noir Champagne NV

$62

The Drappier vineyard covers 100 hectares and constitutes the House's essential trump card. Since 1808 our family has used its skill to select parcels of land which are particularly well exposed and extremely rich in limestone. For the most part they are located around Urville, where the Pinot Noir, in the majority, finds its loveliest expression and allows the production of very elegant, aromatic wines. On the nose, very evocative of strawberry and raspberry with a floral note of rose petals. The palate recalls red fruits and is augmented by hints of citrus fruit, mandarin orange and a small, very refined touch of white pepper.

Nose is nice. Mineral and spice. Some berry notes. Nice mouthfeel and elegant mousse. Creamy and ripe. Good mineral cut on the finish.

It was a Saturday night and we had both the kids down by 7pm so why not open a bottle of champagne right?! This bottle of Drappier Rosé Nature Pinot Noir Zero Dosage we bought as part of our Emperor Champagne Club monthly subscription. In the glass it’s a pinky red sunset shade. Crunchy apple, freshly baked baguette and delicious red cherry and raspberry notes come through on the nose. As expected it’s nice and dry on the palate and is dominate by those red berry fruits. Definitely a great palate cleanser. All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!
