The Clos de Vougeot presents with an intense dark ruby color. The aromas encompass a complex bouquet of rose and violets as well as fruit and a few discreet woody notes. The attack is round on the palate and then the tannins show their strength. This wine is well structured and corpulent, with long-lasting aromas and a fine representative of this famous Grand Cru.

A dense and chewy Clos De Vougeot. Black cherry, underbrush, damp soil and truffle. The fruit came through with some coaxing but it is very reluctant. It’s either a hold or a never will be.

Young, in its first stage. Drinkable, but young. I like older more mature burgundies. Should try in 5 years.
