Clos de Tart has been restored to its rightful place as one of the greatest of the 26 Grand Cru vineyards in Burgundy. From 1996 onwards, it has ranked near the very top of all Burgundies in rating and reputation. A stunning combination of sheer power of expression with superb finesse and individuality of flavor, it is a Burgundy lover's dream-come true.

The 2013 Clos de Tart Grand Cru has one of the purest bouquets I have encountered: red cherry, kirsch, blueberry, sweet and candied with blood orange filtering through with continued aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, well balanced with hints of brown spices. It just decays a little with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, structured and maybe just a little monotone toward the finish. Perhaps just a touch over-extracted? (Neal Martin, Vinous, October 2023)

The usual phrase "great properties make great wines in difficult vintages" applies here.

Good 13 burg, surprisingly ripe and red fruited, spicy from whole clusters and oak, very good for its age.

Made by the former cellar man, late harvest , but a very bold wine, more power and tasting fine tonight, but again a peace of art, a wine for the future.
