I had no idea how this was going to present, and in the end, we were thrilled. Initially, the nose showed rose petals and an odd caramel note not typical in burgs that I have tasted. The mid palate was stunning. It had a dense and voluminous mouthfeel. Subdued bing cherries and cedar worked their magic, combined with moderate but resolved tannins. Played very well with our mushroom pate (yes, you read that correctly). The bottle held its own throughout dinner, although the bouquet became more compressed over time. Duband is a go-to Burg producer for me. The majority of his better bottlings are reasonably priced in comparison to other Burg producers. Le Crocodile, Brooklyn.

Fleshy, full, and spicy aromatics. Really liking the 15's from Duband.
