1982 vintage. Not earth shattering, but really solid wine. The tobacco and dark fruit notes still coming through. Tannins are down, but acids still there. Great with some short ribs today. All in all, I would have this again.

Third bottle of the case. Showing some oxidation that is strangely blowing off. Developing in the glass. Not as instantaneously gratifying but we have time.

Still a nice ruby color cedar and dried fruits a mature mouthful. A bit of a short finish

Initially pretty closed, cedar and some woody (oak) notes, fruit is mature, tannic structure has receded, medium-long finish, very good if a tad rustic, but lacks the depth of better classified growths.

On first taste after decant seem to have a lot going on and showing a little age but all together. Our younger son is stranded with us and also helping us during the COVID-19 quarantine. He was born in 1982 so this wine for him. Big change from rustic to elegant 2 hours later with dinner. Would have not thought this wine was 38 years old. A lot of deep fruits, a bit of tar and some smoky wood on the nose. Taste was very interesting with a nice long finish. Don’t tell him it was only $18.49 back in the day

Lovely cedar, cigar box aromas, still quite vigorous and structured, though seems pretty ready to drink, long finish, very, very fine!!

Purchased from an original owner. Top shoulder fill. Cork came out in one piece, soaked 3/4 through. Not much fruit here, basically all tertiary, but enjoyable for those that appreciate dried tobacco and cigar box.

Redfruits and still lots of structure and some tannin into the finish, some earthy and truffle notes underneath, I think this is clearly mature, but will always be a bit structured and tannic, still very fine.
