The 1989 Pichon Baron presents with a lovely deep color. The wine exhibits harmonious aromas of cigar, cold ash, sweet spices and clack fruit. The wine is distinguished. It is meaty and opulent which a great balance of full, silky tannins. The flavors of fresh, candied fruit cocoa and licorice are prominent on the palate.

Nicely aged. It was a treat to share with friends over dinner.

Still showing quite youthful. Dark, ripe berry and plum with sweet spices and some damp earth. Powerful! Will happily drink all day, any day!

A little bit stinky at the front. Still very deep, rich and young. Perhaps Brett at the front is taking a bit of the charm and subtlety off this but the fruit is still there. Intense stuff.
