Sometimes you just have to make sure that it really is perfect... Château Pape Clément is the oldest estate in Bordeaux having first been planted in 1300 by Pope Clement V when he was the city’s Archbishop and before he became pope. The 2010 vintage was the first Pape Clément to receive 100 points from Robert Parker (“Having tasted it four times in Bordeaux, and rating it perfect three times and 99 the fourth time...”). The flamboyant and soaring aromatics are infectious and completely captivating. It smolders in your glass. Extracted and plump, voluptuously bursting at the seams with blackberry, crème de cassis, and ganache, featuring a heavy seasoning of cedar, cigar box, crushed graphite, baking spice, and espresso. The background is filled with truffle and incense, making the lavish experience that much more captivating.
