The 2005 Mouton presents with an attractive color and an elegant, complx nose that combines refined notes of oak, toast and vanilla with intense, wild berry fruit. Hints of mint and spice bring freshness and originality. On the palate, the wine is both powerful and substantial and reveals close knit, juicy and succulent tannins balanced with concentrated blackcurrant and blackberry flavors that emphazsize the impression of opulence. The finish is very long and carried by a touch of sweetness. This Mouton is a perfect expression of rich, ripe Cabernet Sauvignon typical of the great Pauillac vintages.
