Needed 3 hours of air to really open up. Hour 1 was as inaccessible as Kilimanjaro. Hour 2 was tightly wound and muscular. Hour 3 was waltzing with raspberry, blackberry, currant, cedar, potting soil, caramel, mushroom, and green stems. Powerful stuff with a mineral backbone. Looking forward to trying on day 2.

The 09's drink so well young. The blackberries are so ripe and elegant already. As well, the tannins. Wire to wire this wine is consistent and will not disappoint. Black cherries, black plum skin, strawberries dance around the palate, minerals dry but so silky, dry black earth, touch of lead pencil, saddle-wood, dry red roses, very high acidity and a nice dark fruit finish that runs juicy to dry. It's going to be very good in 8-10 more years.

Mother’s day lunch. Not a vintage we like but this one is excellebt. Dark rubi robe, no signs of aging. Nose of asphalt, cedar, anise and blackcurrant. Very elegant fruit tannins and a bit of wood tannins to shed still, would be better with less. An extracted wine done with lots of wood but balanced and elegant same time. We liked it a lot.

Quite deep ruby , narrow ruby rim. Deep and more concentrated on the nose , with dark cassis , ripe summer fruits , dark cherry , grafite , oyster shell notes. On the palate this is quite rich and decadent , cassis , ripe blackberry , blueberry a, dark cherry . Sweet but ample tannin , balanced acidity , quite rich but well balanced , good blackcurrant, grafite tinged , length . This is showing well but will continue to do so over the next 10-15 years , perhaps longer .

So mellow and smooth! Blackberries and a lingering finish.

Very easy to approach after a quick decant to let it breathe (20-30min). Raspberries and cassis, with pretty tannins that are well integrated. Depends how you like your Bordeaux, but this is in a good drinking window.
