Very push deep and sexy. A lavish nose with damson and floral notes. Big fruit with plums, dark sweet fruit and some menthol. On the palate this is lush and mouth-filling. Hints of tobacco at the edges are the only sign this is 30 years old. Powerful. Lovely stuff.

Tired. Out of gas. Tomato soup- Merlot/Right Bank? Smoky barrel. Brown, cloudy. Broad and oxidized in the mouth. Not much left. Doesn't seem fair to rate. Cork must not had done its job for this long, a tall order.

This is a stellar example of the wonderful 89 vintage that is still an adolescent. Rich purple color vibrant spicy fruity nose, vibrant tannins, and well balanced. Drink again in five years.
