Full-bodied. Concentrated. Opulent. These are some of the descriptors applied to Carlisle wines. However, words such as elegant, balanced, complex are also in used as wonderful descriptors of the wines as well. Through hard work in the vineyard and winery, you can have it all, the best of both worlds. The winemakers approach to winemaking is simple, yet difficult. They prefer to intervene in nature's process as little as possible.

Very primary and really nicely drinking. At the stage where the tannins have all but faded to silk, yet the fruit is fresh as the day it was picked.
