Booker Vineyard Remnant Tempranillo Blend 2012
Formerly known as Alchemist, Remnant is created to be one of the darkest, richest, and most masculine wines in the Booker line-up. This wine's blend can be influenced by any varietal found in our vineyard. Some years Remnant is composed of almost entirely Syrah, other years it may see more Tempranillo or Cabernet Sauvignon

A little bit rustic with the heavy tempranillo which adds a nice level of complexity. The petit verdot really shows at this stage too. Fruit forward Paso style, but yet the alcohol is in check at below 14%. Very interesting wine.

2012 Vintage. 13.8% Alcohol. Not a PNP as it started out with a strange menthol and herbaceous bouquet. Let sit and absorb oxygen for a half hour and that all dissipated. Not a big fruit bomb, but still enjoyable and certainly an unusual blend.
