My Favorite Neighbor is a direct reference to the talented Stefan Asseo of L'Aventure wines. Stefan proved a great mentor when Eric was introduced to the Paso wine industry and our vineyard happens to share a small border with L'Aventure's estate. This wine will always be a Syrah and Bourdeaux blend and will always be a tribute to their favorite French neighbor!

Mind-blowing! Smokey nose, complimented with strawberry jam. On the palate, this wine displays depth and presence, without being overweight or brash. Lovely dark-fruit profile, enhanced by rugged tannins and bright acidity. Intense and focused. Stunning now, but will further benefit from short-term cellaring. just ordered another 6 pack, it’s that strong. Very cool label, too.

Great vintage. Sadly, my last ‘16 MFN.

Totally dig it. Complex yet light on its feet. Already good- I think this will be a drink when young wine. Great stuff.

Bold wine up to the task for steak night. Big red fruits and a bit of old world dust on the finish. Very nice vintage.

Still as incredible as the first time i drank this. Black fruit and smoked chocolate on the pallet. Long finish with even keeled tannins. A hint of activity. Big and structured

Interesting young wine. Some hedonistic and unbridled qualities, but chocolate covered cherries made an appearance as well. Think this could really be something in 4-5 years. If you have a few, try one now, otherwise wait a bit - seems like it may be in its teenage years.

Jeb 97 for 80 bucks. Dense dark blackberry fruit, mineral notes. Not big tannins on the back end. At first thought this was going to need a bit of bottle age, but it’s drinking pretty good at this young stage. 94+ for now.

New world Bordeaux that drinks amazingly in its youth. Full fruit on the fore pallet, and smooth tannins-less finish. Amazing juice.
