In 1996 with the single vision of producing world class wines, Claude and Katherine Blankiet ushered in the estate's vineyard, suitably named Paradise Hills. The Blankiet Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, their flagship wine, is a Bordeaux Medoc blend of predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. This wine is sheer power in a silk glove.

After a two hour decant this wine nicely expressed all that it had to offer! Complex and inviting on the nose, it's remarkable how long the wine stays on your palette. Charcoal, tar, with a spritz of black cherry characterizes my first impression, surrounded by a subtle oak note and a rich tannic structure. If you have an abundance of patience you should cellar this wine, and if not pop the cork now!!!
