Alzinger Loibenberg Smaragd Grüner Veltliner 2015
The geologic and climatic counterpoint in our vineyard repertoire. Located right at the sharp bend in the Danube River between Durnstein and Weissenkirchen, the cool northwest air masses are clearly felt here. Amphibolite and mica-schist replace gneiss as the dominant rock. Wine style naturally changes with the terroir. The upper reaches of Liebenberg yield wines with firm and compact structure, while the lower part brings somewhat softer, more concentrated wines.
