Azelia San Rocco Barolo Nebbiolo 2011

The first vineyard purchased in Serralunga d'Alba. This Cru fully represents Luigi's love for this village. The vineyard stands on a hill in front of the homonymous church of San Rocco. The clay present in this soil gives the mouth feel of the wine an intenseenergy. For this reason Serralunga d'Alba is called 'il corazziere' (cuirassier, a very skillful and powerful soldier) of the Langhe region. Pertinent to the charactericstic of the terroir, the wine gives an impression of great power, austerity, with an incredible aging potential. The San Rocco presents as velvety and sweetly ripe, with splendidly integrated tannins.
