Subtle nose starting in the upper register unfolds and resonates on the palate with dried apricot, burnt caramel, fig, prune, raspberry syrup and dark honey. More about character and age than freshness of fruit or lightness. This has a really luxurious, mouth-coating texture, and finishes out with a mix of subtle tannins, sharp minerals, and acid, which create tension that complements the lingering maderized notes on the finish.

In 1970 company changed ownership from founding family to the Symingtons, who have been Port producers since 1882 & through their Anglo-Portuguese great-grandmother, they trace Port heritage to 1652. Deep Amber color with delicate sweet nutty aromas. The palate showing notes of smoke, caramel, raisins & sweet figs. Long finish some honey, baked plum & hazelnut character. Very nice! 20-year is the sweet spot for affordability & style. Tasting Sample!

Now this is some tasty tawny port. A 20-year from @Grahams_port which boasts burnt orange peel, hazelnuts and walnuts and pairs perfectly with Tiramisu.
