A decidedly vibrant and vivid deep salmon color. A plethora of medium sized bubbles that continue for quite a while. The nose is intense and deep with fresh fruit and light spices. Ripe red cherries, muted wild strawberries, and a touch of Eastern spice. Those familiar bread notes also show. Quite vinous in nature, owing to the still wine, this has nice balance and structure. Medium plus acidity and full bodied. 100% Pinot Noir, this is more tannic than most. Just a hint of elegance in the mouth but really nice minerality. Wonderfully dry throughout. The palate is generous and expressive with initial notes of strawberry parfait and watermelon with a lush mouthfeel. Herbs, spices, and fresh baked bread. The Saignée rosés are so fun and no one drinks enough of them.
