Gorgeous wine. Lemon lime acidity with some cream and roasted nuts in the background. This is all about tropical and citrus fruits though. I get different limes, papaya, pineapple, a bit of ocean and grass too. Wow, I want another bottle.

A light gold color with a ton of bubbles initially. This nose is the star of the show with toasted biscuits and some nice lemon accents. There’s a grapefruit element here that’s really lovely. An abundance of vibrant fruit that truly comes alive as the wine warms. 100% Chardonnay from Vertus with no dosage. Excitedly racy acidity throughout and a ton of character. From 60 year old vines and using 20% reserve wines go a long way here. A zippy champagne with terrific structure and balance. Very dry and crisp, this is a champagne that definitely wakes you up and catches your attention. The palate is energetic and lively and quite vinous at times. Notes of nuts and pastries with just a little kumquat to boot. Just a touch of chalk with some spice. A splendid Brut Nature.
