Herbs and sweet spices on the nose, tertiary aromas on the palate, with good tannins and acidity to leave it kicking. Nice mouthfeel.

Monthly WTF wine night with a theme of “something to impress”. As always, wines were tasted blind. This was so young, but it was great to get a feel for where this is going...could be stellar in 5-7yrs. Cardamom, black tea, Dusty and underripe raspberries on the nose. High acid, black cherries, tar and rose petals round out the palate. Needs lots of time. I called this Cabernet Franc from right bank.

Was quite elegant and smooth. Seemed a tad light following Canallichio but quite good.

Valdicava is still my fav Brunello producer. Notes of burnt cherry, Tuscan sun Tobacco, and sandalwood. In a real good place. Long finish with silky tannins. Just yesss
