Finally managed to wait a bit. Notes from 24 hrs open (in the fridge overnight). On the nose: soft reductive notes (still!), citrus, florals, a touch of grilled nuts. Wow, so compelling. On the palate: fantastic acidity, citrus, melon, soft nuts, lovely fruit density and a long finish. Gonna try to keep my hands off this for a while.

Richly textured with predominately ripe fruits and oak notes at this young age, but in a way that somehow conveys a sense of understated elegance. Enough acidity to carry the medium to full body. My first of this iconic Chard from down under. And it did not disappoint.
