Start the week off right with an Oregon Pinot Noir. I have opened the 2019 Ken Wright Cellars Willamette Valley Pinot Noir. Sourced from 10 different Willamette Valley Vineyards. On the nose there is wonderful notes of cherry, strawberry, raspberry, spice, clove, spice, cola, vanilla and forest floor. On the palate there is cherry, raspberry, strawberry, cranberry, spice, rose petal, cedar and earth. This is a medium body wine with medium + acidity and medium to medium + fine grain tannins that leads into a long red fruit finsh. The week ahead has just started and we need to be fully engaged and active. As always stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia!

I always enjoy my Willamette Valley Pinots and this vintage from Ken Wright is no exception. Violets, baking spices and maybe some leather on the nose, a lighter refined palette with sour cherry and plum and some cola. Delicious.

Smell: ripe red fruit. Cherries. Liquorice. Vanilla. Earth and oak. Taste: very smooth, round on the palate, taste red fruit like raspberry and cherry. Decent body for a Pinot (still light). Nice complexity on the palate, long finish. Very dry. Velvety. I really liked this wine. Will definitely get again.
