Chianti isn’t typically my cup of tea but seems to be a very good representation of the grape and the style. Anise, balsamic vinegar, leather, damp earth, cedar, and fruit, primarily cherry, on the nose. Lots of acidity and cherry on the palate with a touch of salt, with the acidity being the biggest trait to me over the fruit. Maybe this is winning me over…? I might be starting to find the charm in Chianti!
