On the early side of peak. Really beautiful bottle, great condition. Skews more towards red fruit but I haven’t had this in a long time and it’s darker than I remember.

Very pretty. Old book and earth. Fruit is fading but this still has intrigue and a lot of soul.

From magnum, this was a bit muted and restrained with a shy nose of red cherry, blackberry, allspice and mint notes. Lively entry with Sangiovese’s austere tannins. Red cherry, cranberry and cassis fruit in the mouth. Lacked the density I expected. Paired really well with the wild boar ragu and pappardelle.

The was a show stopper wine. Allspice mingles with earthy mineral tones with bright red cherry, cranberry and red current fruit. The palate is rich but restrained with noble austerity to the sour and red cherry, pomegranate fruit. Supple, bright tannins but with a real sense of grip. Long and bright on the finish. Close to its peak but looks to have lots of life.
