2022/1/16 with Mediterranean-ish fish stew (salmon?!, fennel, tomato). I hadn’t had Barbi in quite a while, but this bottle was a classic, tangy, bloody orange and red fruit Brunello- always great.

2022/2/11 with wagyu shabu shabu. Solid, traditional brunello - lots of cherry, blood orange, iron and earth, with good acidity to balance things out. This is more open now than the Mastrojanni, so while it would certainly develop, it’s more ready now.
