#AgedWineTuesday Orange in color, very pretty and unique. Medium plus in body with medium acidity and medium sized bubbles. Dry on the palate with a nice mouthfeel. Showing green apples, light grapefruits, yeast, light raspberries, citrus, limes, light earth, minerals and herbs. This 16 year old is showing nice complexity at this point, and will continue to age nicely the next 10 years. Good right out of the bottle, and better with airtime. Dom Perignon is not my favorite Champagne, but this one is really delicious. I got to call it when I see it. Wine Spectator 97 points. Robert Parker 97 points. Elegant and robust. I just love this vintage for Dom Perignon. A blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. 12.5% alcohol by volume. 93 points. $500.

Let’s face it…drinking any vintage of @domperignonofficial rosé is an incredible experience ~ and there are some serious arguments for 2008 to be the best ~ at the least I can tell you when I popped a cork the other night it was one of the most complete wines I drank all year ~ almost pointless to try and name all the fruits, flowers, herbal, savory and mineral aromatics & flavors ~ probably more important to mention the breadth of palate and gorgeous mousse balanced by focused acidity and energy w near immortal length

Any Dom Rosé deserves its own pedestal but 2008 is arguably the best vintage yet. Looking over my notes from 2000 and 2006 this has more balance and fínese if it is even possible. Shows hints of wild red berries, the acidity is surrounds the palate perfectly, and the finish is long and intense. Just lucky to have tasted this.
