High percentage of Mouvedre in this single vineyard bottling adjacent to Beaucastel. Black raspberry, black cherry, and ripe raspberry. Violet. White pepper, five spice, vanilla. The definition of minerality with full tannins and medium acidity propping up an expansive core fruit. Finishes very long. Still firmly wound after three days bouncing around my bag. Excellent now, though will reward cellaring.

Big but elegant is a nice way to describe this wine. Big tastes of currants, figs, blackberries, and licorice elegantly integrated into a beautifully integrated wine. The finish pulls thru tastes of coffee , dark chocolate and licorice. We visited this winery last summer. What a great place!
