The Oyster Bay label is owned by Delegat's Wine Estate, one of New Zealand's largest family owned and managed wine producers. Ripe berry fruit aromas and soft spice. On the palate cherry fruit with sweet tannins on medium finish. Not too complex but a good value. Tasting Sample.

Aroma: Cool climate Pinot, very fruity, white pepper, mineral, menthol, ballpark hot dog (?), mushrooms. Taste: raspberry, cranberry, cocoa, soft tannins, heat from 13.5% alcohol.

Pale, brown red. Lovely Pinot Noir. Light, crisp and easy to drink. Was (unexpectedly) lovely to have with steak. #redwine #newzealand #pinotnoir

For hot climates, like here on the Outer Banks, I love chilled Pinot Noir for all day drinking. This Marlborough Pinot has the right acidity to stand up to the spices and heat of the NC summer.

A very light Pinot Noir with a thin body. A fruity and fresh nose. The taste is very smooth with a pleasing minerality and a lot of fresh fruit flavor. A clean finish has you wanting more. Recommended to serve slightly chilled, as the alcohol become more pronounced as it warms up and some of the more subtle flavours and smoothness are lost.

Excellent Pinot Noir for the price. However it reminded me much more of a California Pinot Noir than NZ. Nice traditional cherry flavor in the front, with earthy features in it
