Chewy, plenty of tannins. I’d enjoy it if the fruit were much forward, I can feel the brambly blackberry. This should be a great food wine (is there any other kind?) We drank only half the bottle tonight, and I’d love to see how it opens up with more air. The potential is there, it’s a ‘17 and should be nearly ready to peak.
