There is little more delicious than a buttery Californian Chardonnay and this one is no exception. Lead wine critic for Vinous, Antonio Galloni says, "Kendall-Jackson's flagship 2015 Chardonnay Vintner's Reserve is a model of consistency. Soft, supple and open-knit, with lovely tropical fruit, white flower and butter notes, the Vintner's Select is a pretty wine to drink over the next 2-3 years." This wine will drink well with a wide range of dishes including oily fish, such as salmon, and hearty salads.

Decent Chardonnay I guess. Buttery aftertaste, fruity aroma and initial taste.

This got better as the weekend went on, starting on Friday quite sour & one dimensional, and finishing on Sunday as a very well rounded and pleasant wine. Would’ve definitely benefited from decanting. Quite tropical, with mango, Jonagold apple and a chalky mouthfeel. Probably wouldn’t buy again, but pleasing nonetheless.

Great with chicken. Seems like it's a high alcohol content. Love the buzz!

Had a 2013 tucked away in my cellar, wanted to see how this would stand up to age, opened on 5/6/18. The first Vintner's Reserve Chardonnay was released in 1983. Golden yellow color, some gentle oak and very ripe stone fruit aromas. Ripe apple and apricot fruits on the palate with vanilla and some buttery oak on the finish. Aged very well, to me stands up to wine in $25 range. Good value for a wine to entertain a crowd that won't break the bank.

Not what I think of when thinking of the typical chard. Tart, fizzy and tangy. Green apples and pears with the apples winning the tongue battle.

Light gold in color. On the nose, popcorn, butter, cedar no fruits at all. Dry on the palate with butter, lime and grapefruit. Fermented in small oak barrels. 13.5% alcohol by volume. To me this was terrible. I couldn't take more than two sips. Oh well...
