First brewed in 1842 and one of the most influential beers of all time, Pilsner Urquell was the very first pilsner beer and has inspired every other golden lager in the world. Today it is still only brewed in the town of Plzen using the same local ingredients: 2-Row Moravian barley that is malted on site, fresh Saaz hops, a unique yeast strain, and some of the softest water in the world. It is then cold shipped the entire way from the brewery so that it tastes as fresh as it does in the Czech Republic.
