Pale lemon in color with a yellow tint. Stinky nose of citrus, lemons, yeast, spices and white pepper. Medium bodied with aggressive bubbles and medium plus acidity. Dry on the palate with citrus, green apples, grapefruits, spices, bitter fruits and black pepper. Short spicy finish. This is pretty much undrinkable. Unbalanced with a bad nose and not much on the palate. Might be too old or stored incorrectly. Next...

I had drunk a few glasses of Korbel in the nineties and they gave me a headache. Not so the sparkling wine from this bottle. It was light and fun. The quality seems to have improved significantly in the intervening years.
