Très bel équilibre du fruit (fruits noirs bien mûrs), des tanins fondus et du boisé ! Un vin qui a bien vieilli et qui pourrait tenir encore quelques années.

Dirt minerals mint anise and a beautiful nose. Rich color and long finish. Had with cassoulet - a great match. 2000 vintage.

Drank in 2017. Interesting- still good but past prime.

Yum. Soft tannins from rather long aging, some beautiful leftover black fruit, mixed with tertiary notes of mushroom and truffle. Beautifully acidic, a joy.

It is time for some Merlot on this #MerlotThursday. Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim. Nose of black fruits with light oak, vanilla, licorice, chocolates and light metals. Full-bodied and smooth with medium acidity and long legs. Dry on the palate with black plums, currants, cooked cherries, spices, oak, chocolates, earth, tobacco leaf, herbs and peppercorn. Short finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries. This 5 year old red blend from Bordeaux is tangy, spicy and smooth. Rich and fruit forward with nice complexity. Drinking nicely now, and will not get any better from this point on. Good right out of the bottle, and good by itself or with food. A blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Aged in French oak barrels for 12 months. 13% alcohol by volume. 88 points. $20.

2022 vintage. A very reliable wine, and the 2022 might be the best ever. Like many Bordeaux wines in this exceptional vintage, it is already very seductive, but it will age well for at least a decade. Smooth and juicy, with a ripe tannic bite and a lovely licorice finish. Great value too.

2019 vintage. Another fine value from this very reliable estate. While it may not reach the heights of the excellent 2022, it's a great effort in its own right, with a very attractive perfume, impeccable balance, and more than decent length. Even better the next day. Moreover, it sells for a song! Abv. 13,5%.
