As of July 2019, the 2016 vintage here is on the way out. On it’s last legs this wine was giving us a dark hazy brown color with aromas of dried rose petals and bruised strawberries. No acidity, no bite, just mellow vanilla and muddled berries. It’s good, but it’s also not what a newer vintage would likely show.
