Surprisingly light colored head that sprung up like a ghost and then shot back down to a smoky whisper. Rum notes with caramel cream in the lead; spun sugar, cinnamon and clove with yogurt pretzel and honeyed tea. Spicy entry boasts sweetness but not overwhelming. Pumpkin oil, vanilla, oaky caramel, cinnamon and bitter note that suggests charred pecan, and peppercorns. This beer is good because it doesn’t stay sweet throughout and instantly congers the autumnal spirit. It doesn’t get too artificial, borrowing most of its flavors from barrel. #pumpkin #pumpkinbeer #ale #SouthernTier #imperialpumpkin #pumking #beer #seasonalbeer #oakaged #halloween #alehallows

Pretty good for a pumpkin beer. Tastes like Halloween.... Kinda.

Cocoa powder wafts from the bottle, fresh pumpkin, cinnamon and brown sugar, uncut apple and mocha coffee. Pumpkin at the fore on the palate. Cinnamon on toast, cappuccino into mocha, creme de cocoa, hazelnut, and the malts have integrated so well with the brewed pumpkin and the hops! There is light sweet tobacco, chicory, pecan pie, and clove.

A favorite for fall. Only slightly edged out by pumkinhead in my opinion.

Unbelievable to smell a beer w/such vivid aromas of pumpkin pie. I’ve had many over the years, but the subtle notes of clove, nutmeg & baked crust was really impressive. Not too sweet on palate, somewhat viscous which helped complete the picture. Even the color echoed pumpkin - just an impressive effort

I usually cannot abide pumpkin beers, but this one is alright. Intense well rounded sweet pumpkin pie with a heavy dollop of nutmeg at the end.
