Hard to really give a true rating because it’s not like anything I’ve ever tried before! Totally different and in my opinion not in a great way. Just a strange combination with too much going on.

Sour cherry, strawberry, flintstones vitamins, acid. Reminds us of a Tavel. A little bit more ripe than a typical Provençal one, but way better than expected.

The color is rich, a deep ruby-pink that looks almost like rosado. The nose is just as rich, black cherry and earth wrapped around an herbal note that hits just right. In the mouth, a zippy acidity made me forget this is a Cabernet Sauvignon. Red fruit takes a back seat to herbs and earth. The savory edge is so great, the spice so understated, the greenness just green enough. This is a classy rosé, and for 12 bucks, it should be on your patio well chilled.
