The 2011 Pinot Noir Emery comes from a variety of clones and spends 14 months on French oak barrels. The nose here is very attractive with lifted floral red berry fruit, well defined and perfumed, with a Burgundian purity and allure. The palate is medium-bodied, with supple red berry fruit, smooth in the mouth with no rough edges and fine salinity toward the finish. In a blind tasting I would hope to get this as an example of Oregon Pinot. Pure bright fruit, enough stuffing and great acid on the long finish. It went well with Cinnamon's miso-roast chicken.
