Impressive aromas of blackberries, currants and flowers follow to a full body with super fine tannins and a long, long finish. Super classy. Best ever Crognolo. Always great value... James Suckling

That's some great Sangiovese. Dynamic deep currant, black cherry, soft cinnamon accents.

Terrific wine to consider if you're more new world leaning but in the mood for exploring Italy. Great buy especially if you can find it for $25 or less.

The estate of Sette Ponti lies in the heart of the Chianti zone, 15 miles northwest of the city of Arezzo, past the village of San Giustino Valdarno. Crognolo, aged in French Allier barriques, deep red with red fruit aromas and sweet perfumed spice. On the palate raspberry and cherry flavors, some spice and muted tannins. Good balance, lingering finish ending with some oak and mineral tones. Aged well.
