...this shows fine depth, more focus, vivid fruit and serious power. It's not particularly thick, austere or astringent, but this is built for the long haul. It is potentially a great Taylor's, effortlessly combining brilliant fruit and structure. It tastes great now (today, it is far more vivid than its Vinha Velha sibling)... Robert Parker Wine Advocate

Felt like a vampire pouring this dark purple port into the carafe. Similar color and viscosity to a pint of blood. Dark and dried fruit forward. Bold and semi-sweet with a nice finish. Too young but whatever. I enjoyed.

2017... I have no doubt that this will be served with honor 20 or 30 years from now. We have an inky purple Porto with an intense blueberry nose. It leans blackberry on the palate. With floral notes (lavender). Quite a bit of residual sugar (above and beyond port). Do not drink this now. There is no doubt this will improve with age. The question is can one exercise the patience necessary? 93+ points
